The black travel movement is nothing new. People of color have been traveling for years – however, you don’t often see that reflected in travel advertising. Being a mixed race Black and Indian woman, I have unique perspectives to share on exploring the world as a person of color.

As a blogger, content creator, and influencer in the travel industry, I have also noticed the lack of diversity in travel media. It has become my personal mission to ensure people from all walks of life – regardless of race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, age, or size – see themselves represented in travel advertising. I do this by voicing my experiences as a black and brown traveler, as well as working with brands to add diversity to their campaigns.
